2015 800 rmk extra bogie or not?

I got 4 bogies with my 2015 800rmk 60th le should I run em or no can't decide looks better without but might be functual with, dealer didn't install cus they didn't want to mark up rails if I didn't want to run em so question is to bogie or not?

Depends how much hard pack / ice your going to run on.
The sliders on my 13 were still in great shape after 3000 miles even though I did abuse them in the early season, and on frozen groom alot. In extreme abuse I'm sure they would help though.

FWIW, it's not just the hyfax. The track bars without clips will get worn in low snow as fast as hyfax, especially in cold, sub-zero F rides in and out. The wheels help here, too. Look at your non-clipped track bars. They will look like they've been ground down. Tell-tale black rubber on the white hyfax, also. Flip-side - great excuse to buy a camoX!

I just ran 2 on the inside, the front track shock has 2 small wheels on the shaft already, so i put 2 in the inside in the middle.

Trails - yes

Mountains - no - use your scratchers on the road, dive off the side here and there, and you won't need them.

Sure it looks better without them but I feel the benefit of them outweighs the weight penalty.Do you think you're going to feel the couple pound weight difference?
I've got 3500 miles on my original hifax on my 11 Pro that came with extra bogies.I'm thinking the wheels definitely helped with that. I put wheels I pulled off my 08 Dragon on our 13 600 Pro that didn't come with any. Can't hurt to use them IMO.

I ride UP and put mine on. Too much trails and road riding to get to play areas sometimes, especially during snowless periods (always great snow to ride, just not always fresh on the way in and out) and only see benefits of them as the little extra weight doesn't bother me. Also I could care less what they look like because you typically can't see my skid when its in the snow. Only on the trailer or parked on the trail.

Also I should note I am coming from a Nytro so the weight of the wheels is not even considerable since switching sleds is such a vast weight difference anyways

Wasn't worried about weight my backup/wife's sled is a switchback 900 which is 100lb heavier so more of the pro doesn't come with em so didn't know
If needed I'm going to put em on for here take off for my trip west

i want to put them on my wife's 600 pro as well. were their holes already drilled for them? do you have any cooling issues with the 600? i know some reports of 800s (pro's without the extra cooler) getting hot on the trails. my wife is a pretty conservative rider, and if the snow is belly button deep, she doesnt get off the trail too much because shes always stuck. i will definately be putting the rear boggie wheels on........cooling is my only concern at this point.

Rails were already drilled for the wheels.

As far as sled running warm, first thing I always do after backing them off the trailer is put down the scratcher's on both sleds.I keep them down unless riding in fresh snow.Without them the sled will warm up fast.If you have to ride hardpack try to spin the track to kick up loose snow.Fortunately I've never had too much trouble keeping them cool other than in late spring when things iced up when the sun went down.

Yes, bogie.
What we do is what Jaynelson replied.

I always take the bogies out and just run scratchers on the trails... this way my slides wear evenly and I don't get the ripple from the bogies. I sold my '12 Assault this summer with the stock hyfax still on it, with life left... Those were the raw hyfax tho, so we'll see how the colored ones on my '15 last this season...
