Plenty of snow up there but like everyone else has said, there isn't much base. Just keep an eye open when riding in the fresh stuff. First day I was out I hit a huge rock dead on due to not paying attention and thinking I was fine.

It should start setting up a little better within the next couple days if the sun gets to it. I would say its definitely worth the trip. Lots of good snow up there.

Currently at Togwotee till Friday. Drove 16 hours from Northeast Iowa and glad we came out. The above statements are correct with little to no base but still good conditions with no storms predicted for the rest of the week.

How is the tree riding? Most of the logs covered up?

Mostly everything is covered. Kinda gotta watch how low you let the skis dive when powder hoping but other than that you'll be fine. Just isn't much of a base so you are more apt to get stuck or dig down to something. There is an average of 4-6 foot in the area and more in the trees if you search.

Just spent the last 4 days there. Good riding but like everyone has said no base. Plus, since there hasn't been any snow for awhile it's tracked up pretty bad. You have to go back pretty deep to find fresh snow. seen a lot of slides so watch out for that.

Rode tog today, tracked up in the open. But still plenty of untouched in the trees. Not much base "sugar" on the bottom. Still land mines all over hence the low snow cover. But all in all great day of sledding.

Update:
Rode most of the weekend.
Tracked up pretty much everywhere now. Even remote areas are getting difficult.
Need a refresh snowfall

My opinion: If you are driving a long ways, plan trip around next snowfall

Happy Riding!

been here for three days of riding. we have been in untouched for all three. most we have been from togwotee mountain lodge is 6 miles. stuck multiple times. there is no base and have to look out for obstacles. the long drive is worth it

If anyone is at Togwotee Lodge and needs an airbag, I have an ABS 15 for sale in the sled shop. $400 (was $1000 new)

Its in great condition, never deployed….see Joel.

ABS still available.

Also have a Tekvest(L) for sale in there. Only wore a couple days last season. $100
