Test rode 14 yz 450 timbersled yesterday. Bone stock I found it much better than my stock 12 kx 450 & much better than modded 12 wr. Anyone else ride 14 yz this season? Looking for pros & cons vs kx & other bikes. I was very impressed.

We rented 2014 YZ with SX kit from GSR in Golden and I thought it worked great. The are was tracked out so i cant say how the in take would handle the powder. It started easy as well. The guys at GSR where fantastic to deal with. 
I wouldn't say it work any better then my buddy's KX 450 he had last year.

yup 2014 YZ rocked, needs some tuning for better starting but otherwise great power and front suspension. Seems to hook up better with some seriously ski lift compared to other 2014 kits??? Is that power, set up??
I second that the new yz450 realy kicks it up a notch .
yup, ran my 2012 wr 450 cam, full Yoshi, throttle stop removed, gutted airbox, ecu vz 2012 kx, vz 2014 yz back to back, swapping riders, same lines, same day and the yz schooled the others. KX no slouch and wr is a torgue monster by yz wicks up quick, love the stiff front end, lighter and hauls...
The best Part is that it makes the power very Quiet much quieter than my bike with the Yosh pipe on it ( that noise is starting to get old). Usually people mistake quiet bikes as being slow no one made that mistake with the YZ
No worry there , it's not a electric motor-- just not annoyingly loud .
In general the snow bikes are way louder than sleds or even 2 stroke snow bikes are not as noise as the 4 bangers .
I want the power but if I can get it without excessive noise I am all for it.

Did someone really just claim a YZ to be quiet?? Seriously?
While there was no scientific method in use it was less annoying at full throttle than all the other bikes all with various aftermarket exhausts.
