2014 proclimb 3" track

Putting a new 3" track on my 162" proclimb because i ripped my stock track last seasion. Wondering what tracks people are finding the best , The X3 or the Powderclaw? Thanks in advance

PC.. in fact there is one for 400. in the swapmeet I do believe.... the CASMO 2.8 maybe the ticket this year just fyi

you can trim/port/put a gap between the lugs like a conquerer later if ya feel the need.:face-icon-small-blu
claw!

edit: x3 might be better for hard snow?

i have a 156x3 x3 and a 153X3" claw, the claw is the better track in 80% of snow conditions. The X3 will outperform it on a pure fluffy snow day with no base but that is about the only time i have preferred the X3

Ill let the new 2.8 camso get some miles on it to see if it holds up under abuse. Good track on paper though and looks like a good design. Till then the 3" PC is the track to beat. Holds up taking a beating and just flat performs

ill let you know how the 2.8 works or simply don't work here in only like 2 months

The camsno 2.8 looks really good and the reviews are quite good. Can't beat the weight. It's still unproven. The powerclaw is the best track out there for powder riding, maybe the 2.8 will be a challenger, time will tell. I'm still going to get a 2.8 abs give it a try.

I have both on the same type of sleds both m8s same mods and one is not any better than the other

I am the only person on earth who probably prefers the 2.6 proclimb track over the 3 inch PC. I value track speed over the additional lug height, plus, for the heavier Oregon/Washington snow i ride in, the 2.6 seems like a better fit with the additional knobby fingers on it.

In Colorado snow I did a ton of testing comparing the 3" vs the 2.6" a couple years ago. Both on stock 15's with nothing changed on them minus having the 7 tooth and 3" powerclaw on the one 15. The sled with the 2.6 was a stronger runner too before the other one got the 3" on it. Me (185lbs geared up) and my buddy (230 lbs geared up) swapped back and forth multiple times one day in about 18" of pow going up a mild slope. Every time the 3" would just pull away from the 2.6 by multiple sled lengths. I noticed a bigger gain going to the 3" then I saw last spring between the 16 and the 17 Mountain Cat jumping out of the hole. Totally different snow than you ride though.
