2014 pro oil leak

Just went out to the garage to put my riser on, saw a pool of oil under the machine. I figured the chain case, but I looked and it was dry. after looking further back i noticed under the pipe there was a pool of oil. I started the sled and let it idle for a minute and watched the pipe and it was dripping from the seal between the y pipe and pipe. Any ideas?? oil pump too high? it seems to be really thick. sled is a brand new 2014 assault from the factory with no miles.

Correct me if I am wrong, but a 2014 PRO RMK will not have a chaincase!

Picked my '14 up yesterday and dealer made me aware of this.

"added a quart of oil in with a half tank of gas, they noticed with the '13s that the donut that is between the pipe and y pipe is different allowing for oil to leak out during a break in period or sitting in shop prior to break in due to the amount of oil in the gas tank. Look under block to trace oil and see if it is dripping from pipe/y-pipe connection."

He expected the '14s to have this issue during break in periods.

I would look under pipe/Y-pipe connection to see if any oil dripping in this area before freaking out.

Needs to be run with pipe heat soaked, and grafoil donut fully seated. You can RTV the donuts now, too, which will stop the current mess. That crap blows out your VES, too, another reason to reroute the sel hose.

It is normal and will go away once you ride it for a while. After the grafoil donut gets hot and the vibration from running/riding it will seal and stop leaking. Should not take more than 1 ride. Clean it out after firt good ride and all is well with that one. Also relocate the vent tube on the exhaust valves over and out belly pan just in front of exhaust donut or you will have another big mess in the pan after every ride.

I stated in my original post I had an assault and that it was dripping from where the donut seals the two pipes. It just seemed like an excessive amount, there is a puddle sittung down in the tub. the quart of oil the dealer gave me for my first tank has not been added yet.

Simultaneous posts. You gotta admit, the response time to Q's is darn fast this time of year on the poo forum. We need snow, too much shiney fresh metal.

Just reread original post, got a paper on one screen and forum on another! Lots of words going through my head! Like stated by the other 2, donut needs to seat in to y-pipe and pipe!

What size of risers are you doing? Do you have to get get new cables?

2" is perfect for me on my 13. I`m 6"2.:face-icon-small-coo

Im 6'2" and run a 2".

I measured my standard rmk iq im selling with a 6" riser was 36" from boards to bottom of grips, this was the same as the stock pro with pro tapers.

I ran a 8.5" on my iq so no brainer to add the 2" riser.
