Almost exactly 15lb weight loss from 13 to 14.

Smaller bolts and hardware on the front end, aluminum bottom gear in the chaincases, and I think a few more aluminum shafts in the rear suspenion. Little brackets here and there have more holes in them and I think the factory silencer got a little lighter so you won't save quite as much with an aftermarket one.

u forgot about the biggest thing, the front end-only heat exchanger, in '13 they only came on HCR's and limiteds, but in '14 they come standard on snopro's too. I can't recall the exact number but 8 lbs lighter or sumthing? Plus you don't get any buildup in the tunnel

If he was comparing '13 to '14 HCR's or limiteds u wouldn't see that big of a difference

The sno pros got the light weight brake rotor too.
Here are some of the little things.
Change the shock mounts from steel/rubber to plastic with smaller diameter bolts. Pic is of the 2014 float with hardware.

The spacer for the skis is aluminum this year, previously it was steel.

Also the new mountain seat is supposed to be 5 lbs lighter. I have not taken it off to weigh yet. The design is awesome, but its way too soft.

Storage in the seat is awesome, but only for sleds without E-start.

I'm curious and maybe it has been stated somewhere else but what do the build sheets state for weight?

Thanks for posting the weights BTW!:face-icon-small-hap

Curious, does the limited have a heavier seat which would be some of the weight difference besides E-start?

Limited has the more heavy seat yes, because of the battery. In cat store on Cat`s website, they do have a lightweight seat for the models with the long tank, but then the battery has to be removed or moved somewhere else. Thinking that under the hood somewhere can be a good place for that :)

ONLY the Limiteds with Electric start, mine does not have ES and has the short seat

My 13 162 sno pro is 534 lbs full of fuel, oil, coolant ready to ride with 2 spare belts. Completely stock other than powder pro skies which are 1 lbs heavier each then stock ones. Numbers dont jive very good with what i am seeing here?????? isnt fuel about 6 lbs a gallon? that would put me at about 474 ish w/o fuel. Can't wait to see what it is after the diet this summer!!!

Your stock 13 with 162 track ready to ride should be around 570 not 534. Sorry, but I think you better check your scale for accuracy. Wish it were true though. :face-icon-small-ton
