2014 ktm 450 sxf w/TSS kit . What to do with hose?

I have a 2014 ktm 450 sxf with 14 ST kit w/ TSS. There is a hose that comes off of the top of the head and went to a fitting in the stock air boot.
What are people doing with this hose?

I'm going to be letting it hang or zip tying the end pointing down. I saw someone on the Facebook page remount the fitting in the existing edge on the box and plug it in.

I don't think using a metal fitting like the stock fitting is a good idea. Twice in cold wet conditions the warm breather tube build ice on the metal fitting and eventually froze and blocked the hose so pressure could no longer be expelled. The pressure in the valve cover built and eventually blew out the valve cover gasket bleeding oil down the side of the case. Happened twice that first day and again the next weekend. I was lucky to catch it immediately when it happened but I could have easily rode a while puking my oil the whole time.

My advice is to pull it even if you don't have TSS. I'll be zip tying mine up but making sure there is no low point for moisture to freeze and block airflow.

We put a barbed nylon T in the end of the hose, run a long piece of hose down, then a short piece of hose high. In the end of the top hose we put in a Uni push in filter. The reason is that, theoretically, the hose could be blocked by ice resulting in blown gaskets. Having two routes reduces your chances.

I don't have any pics - but I just get a longer hose and extend it down below the motor. This way it will drip on the ground vs. all over your motor.

This is how the yzf's, rmz's and kxf's are stock so I don't see any issues.

well, this is a fact. My bike finally thawed out last night from our Saturday ride with J800. Oil everywhere. I need to extend the line and get this figured out as it made a mess. I think when i had the bike on its side a few times, i had a touch of spillage too. End result is a mess.

I don't have dimensions, but take the stock hose off and go to Napa. They have something that will fit perfect. You need about 2'.
