2014 Idaho sled stickers

Was reading in Snotech magazine last night that the way you buy your stickers will be changing.

Instead of buying your stickers at gas stations, you will need to think ahead and buy them online. Apparently this is a move to save money....

Out of state guys like me will need to get on the Idaho Department of transportation website and get your stickers early.

There is talk about some kind of workaround for this and it is NOT going to happen for the 2012-2013 sledding season, it IS for the 2013-2014 + seasons

Sounds like they are not happy with the way tags are being filled out. I know here at the store where I get them, it is a bit lax and not exactly accurate.
So what about dealers? They are required to sell one when you buy a sled.

Isn't it enough that we have to pay an extra tax. They have our money for crying out loud

Sent from my Apple iPhone 4S using the TapaTalk app.

I am currently a vendor that sells these stickers.

The rumor is that Idaho Transportation Dept is absorbing Idaho Parks and Rec. All off road, snowmobile and boat stickers will be phased into ITD after this year.

They have not been able to tell me any more details because there are lots of details to work out that simply haven't been decided. My contact at Parks and Rec was pretty frustrated.

That makes sense. I am going to say it again, I have posted it before:
WHY do we have to buy a new sticker for EACH sled we own? I go through a lot of personal sleds, I rode 3 last year, 4 or more the year before. I can only ride ONE at a time! They should issue one permit per person, along with a plastic envelope or something that you can pay a little extra for to stick on each sled you ride, then move the stickers around as you ride them.

They'll never do that because it makes too much sense.

Lol, agreed. We already paid taxes on the sled, the tags from what I understand go to grooming/trail related costs? Maybe enforcement also?
NOTHING that makes a bit of sense in regards to how many sleds are in your garage vs the one you can ride at a time on the trails.
(And I don't post this like I am some rich dude with a ton of stuff.) I tend to like getting more than having, lol. Rode 230 miles on my M1000, sold it. 350 on my PC M800, sold it. Thousand or so on my SnoPro. Wife/brother put 150 miles on a Summit that I bought to part out. That would have been 4 stickers to buy for under 1500 miles riding. (Although with the Summit, that would have been a second tag anyway, as a second rider, so that one no county.)

I'll keep three spare sleds in IP and the first one to use them gets to buy the tag for the year. That's fair right?

What do you guys pay for reg?

Here in NH we pay the following:

NH Resident (club member) is $64.00
Club fee could be 15-20$.

NH Resident Non-Club Member is $94.00

Non-Resident (Club Member) is $84.00

Non-Resident, Non-Club Member is $114.00

The kick is we only get to use our sleds maybe 3 months out of the year! Sucks...that's why I want to move west. We bust our butts getting the trails ready and hope for snow. Last year we had no snow. The money for reg goes back to the clubs for trail improvements, law enforcement, etc. Most guys buy regs at dealerships. We do have a few convient type stores here and there. Almost 7000 mile of snowmobile trails, big reg $ and maybe 3 months to ride...makes for a very quick season. Maybe long for them wife and kids. Every weekend I'm trying to jam in a ride and still see my family. Luckily I can leave from my house. I could ride to VT, Maine, Canada all from my house if I had the time.
