2013 Secondary Spacer

I have the secondary spacer that came on the 2013 sleds on order. Where does this part go? Does it go in the secondary or does it just go behind it on the shaft?

Thanks,

S2H

Thats perfect. Thanks for the information. Is anyone else planning on running this spacer in their 2012? Cat didn't think it was necessary as it wasn't part of the update that was sent out. Just wondering if the clutching was that much different in the 2013 and if it was not necessary for the 2012?

Thanks,

Top sticky on here is for this part that us 2012 guys will be getting as free update. Says parts start shipping to dealers end of October.

Edit: sorry I meant in the proclimb section

Just talked to the tech at the dealer and they want my sled back in to do the spacer and replace the secondary bushings which are toasted. A new bulletin just came out so call your dealer and check your bushings. If there gold in color there no good! This if for the turbo proclimb as well as the 2smokers.

There a new bulletin that mentions 1100T, or how are dealers supposed to know that the 4 strokes need it as well?

Just listed as an issue from what dealer tells me. He's trying to get a hold of Cat for more clarification. All I did was call and tell my tech that the bearings/bushings are gold and extremely worn. Then Cat tells him to use the m/highcountry kit to cover it. They have all the new alignment bars and a tool to press the bearings in and out. All my updates are done just gotta have this handled.

Hah! No more than post this and Cat called back and said no uh uh! So what was, is no more, sorry for the mislead, but I would still check your bushings as I have less than 900 miles and they're gone!

mine was all updated two weeks ago, bushing and spacer, dealer called me.ganna test her out tomorrow if it keeps snowing,18 inches and dumping:face-icon-small-ton

I bought the kit for updating the 800's. used the whole kit. Put the new bushing in as well. Tho old one didn't look too bad but i bought the whole kit anyway so I decided to use it.

What tool did you use to remove/install the bushing?

Cats tool is around $8.00 but if you have a press I just used some old bearings that were close to the size and the bushings pop right out. I have the tool coming for the reassembly though. I was told both bushings come in the kit also.

I found a socket that was the right size to fit throught he hole in the clutch but make good contact on the busing then used a hammer to bang the old one out. the new one installed very easily with the same socket and a few taps with the handle of a screw driver. When I say taps I mean it. There was barely any for necessary.

My home town received nearly 13" of snow over the weekend so I got my sled back to gether (still missing a few of the evo goodies) but was running the new clutching with the evo 215 flash, 2.5 camoplast extreme track, vertical post and 38" a-arm kit. Sled ran flawless. good throttle response and had a blast. Some of the ditches were blown in with 3-4 feet of powder snow which we don't get in Saskatchewan very often. Can't wait to get my BRV, fan and cold air intake installed and give er another rip. Can't complain though. don't know when the last time I rode on November 11 and had enough snow to have a good time.
