I have had all types of electrical issues this year, but now my electric start seems to only work periodically.
My last post, when sled died and didnt start back up, ended up being the stator (shorted out internally), then I have also had a faulty solonoid and TPS since. My sled was literally trying to start it self one morning, after the new stator, and actually did twice. Dealer replaced solonoid thinking it was sticking. When I left dealer, sled would not start via the key, pulled fine. Mechanic came out, battery checked out fine, unplugged wiring harness to ignition and plugged it back in, started fine. Get home, wont start with key. I have yet to unplug and replug it, but it shouldnt keep doing it.
Some questions for you all.
A. What do you think is causing this?
B. Any solutions?
C. If not, should I worry that this mystery issue will short my stator again and leave me SOL in the backcountry like last time. Does something like this affect the stator at all?
THanks guys!
