2013 rmk pro back fire when started up

I have a 2013 rmk pro 800 stock except for an slp can. The sled back fires when I start it up. Not all the time but once in a while. The sled runs fine. If i do not let the sled idle for a second or two before I shut it down it will pop when I start it. Is left over fuel in the pipe , causing the back fire.. The sled has 900 miles on it has done it from day one. Any idea what is causing this. Will it hurt my engine

Sounds like a leaky injector or TPS is out of adjustment and the butterflys are held open

Mine started doing the same thing last weekend. I have about 850 miles on mine though.

My 14 backfired on shutdown until I put a can on at around 500miles. Been good since and 1100 miles strong

Backfire

I have a 2014 that I put an SLP can on at about 250 miles. Now at about 1050 miles. Sled has backfired (on re-starting) since install of can, unless I let it idle for a bit before shutting off. No backfire with stock can. My son also has a 2014, but with MBRP can. It does not backfire at all. I would assume it has something to do with can design ? Both sleds run great.
