Has anyone else had tunnel issues? My tunnel crinkled right before the left footwell, caused by hitting a rock with the ski at full counter-steer and pulled lower A-arm out of spindle joint and nothing bent, seriously confused as to how it happend
not to be a smartazz but its probably wrinkled from hitting a rock? sleds got insurance call it in. 2200 for the polaris tunnel + labor. or if your track is not rubbing and your fine with a wrinkled tunnel, wait till spring then turn it in
I'd say something else is crinkled too. The force from the blow had to go somewhere but the tunnel behind the footwell seems like an odd place. I would be exaimining the bulkhead pretty hard. Normally on Poo's a ski hitting a rock would sacrifice the lower A arm (bend the crap out of it) and save the bulkhead. Something weird with the A Arm coming out of the spindle. How did it come out of the spindle? Bolt broke?
Hmm, AFTER you hit the rock did something tag the underside of the footwell? Such as the rock or possibly what was left of the A arm or maybe even the ski got pushed back into it? A pic of the crinkle would be helpful.

It didn't even throw me over the sled, simply put me level on the snow and bumped me into the kill switch.

Ya of course it was from hitting the rock but it was more like a nudge! As you can see from the picture the a arm didn't even bend. I would like to think Polaris learned something from the famous xp tunnel failures not to repeat it but maybe I'm wrong
pic?
Are the tunnels any different on the 11/12 than the 13'?
