2013 pro rmk track hitting tunnel

I have a 2013 pro rmk 155". It now has 285 miles on it, this is my first sled. Today i noticed that when going through soft fresh snow and digging down and hitting hard snow there is a loud clunking noise and the sled vibrates for a second, it also happens when getting airborn and landing with the throttle still on. My buddies 2013 assault and 2011 arctic cat hcr were apparently were doing this too. Is this the track hitting the tunnel? Is it because the track tension is out? It sounds hard on things, don't want to wreck a qd belt or anything else because of it. Never heard the noise until today.

Sounds like your track is loose and jumping the drivers.

If it hasn't been adjusted since new it most likely needs adjusted anyway.

Yeah it sounds like your track is ratcheting. Or like Dartos said slipping the drivers. A new track will stretch, just tighten that thing up and you'll be good to go.

What they said, track is stretching and needs tightened. Do it before you damage the track.

All replies are correct, lucky you did not lose a quick drive belt too.
Get that track set to Polaris specs
