2013 pro r 120

sled wont start, it ran once at the beginning of the year.. ive taken the carb apart twice, cleaned it out and put it back together and no change. when fuel line is disconnected from the carb if you open the valve gas does come out. it will start if you pour gas down the cylinders but runs only for a few seconds then dies cannot keep it running.. not sure what else to look for<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

I don't have any personal experience with those engines but two things come to mind: a fuel filter plugged due to no use and bad gas from no use. The shelf life of gasoline these days is incredibly short. Drain all the old bad gas, if you find a filter, replace it, and make sure any low speed jets are completely cleaned out. Those buggers replug if ya' sneeze...

Good luck!

Scoot won't start.

How thoroughly did u clean the carb? There are tiny ports on the air box side of carb. They can be removed w a small screwdriver, spray them good w carb clean til it comes out the bottom of carb. Also on the post that holds the main jet there is a tiny hole that connects it to the pilot jet post. It is very small and good at catching debris. Fuel filter change in the bottom of the tank is a must. If that doesn't do it, some of the carbs have a tors(throttle override sensor) disconnect the wires from the frame and carb and connect the two from the frame to each other. Hope it helps

You may also want to disconnect fuel line from carb and crank it over to make sure your fuel pump is working or a line isn't clogged. I've also heard of the peacocks going bad and sucking air but I doubt it.

I just ordered all new jet for the sled. I didn't see any screws on the intake side of the carb.. looked it over with a flashlight, ill take another look when I get the new jets in next week.

Stock ones dont have a fuel pump as there are gravity fed.

You may want to try and turn your air fuel screw all the way in then out about 2 and half turns to start.

Also make sure idle screw is set correctly.

When you have the bowl off the carb, screw out the main and make sure there is nothing in it. You may have to find a small wire to stick through it.

k thanks.. I will start off with those settings.. if I remember right I order a new pilot jet, main jet, main jet holder, and main nozzle. Ill give it another cleaning, and try all the new parts; ill post what happens next week when I get off work.

120 help

and never have had issues like you are saying oror never did any of these things that were mentioned above for you to try and do. What a waste of time and temper lol! I've always stored with stable and have ran them every winter. I would take it to your dealer or whoever you bought it from and ask them to help. Just an idea good luck.
