2013 Pro...Is it the sled you wanted?

68

I'm still stock (155) and lovin' it so I don't have answers to your questions.
I will say that to me push on the front (skis not grabbing, front transfer) and no rear transfer both point to the RTS spring on the Holz type skid. You could stiffen the front springs but I wouldn't like to go that way with this light package and doesn't help the rear transfer.

Did you give any time to the stock springs? If you have a progressive RTS spring cranked up to get ride hieght and front transfer you may be too stiff on the finish to allow any travel of the rear sissor. It would feel stiff and flat.
This would leave you riding primarily in the middle few inches of rear sissor travel and sounds like what you are saying.

I can see using a dual rate spring on the FTS because that is how Holz designed it many years ago but the rear sissor has to stroke through it,s travel for the sled to feel lively.

Just thoughts not answers.

good thoughts. I may go back to the stock spring for the RTS for just this reason.

Happy camper

I like mine, came from a 08 mod XP, all the goodies are not needed in this sled because it is engineered into it.
Only mods to the sled are HPS can, helix and HFPC. Sled gets up on top and fun to ride. I use to get sore from muscling the XP this sled allows me to ride multiple days. The good type of sore.
I love the EFI sips gas and one pull and is starts right up.
Tunnel wrap on the way to end the "slight" snow build up in the center of the sled.

68 one thing that makes the 163 turn is brakes. I drag the brake a bit in the corners and it seems to really get the front to come around. Brake and gas at the same time, you will really feel it. At any speed too. Sometimes I have to pull pretty hard on the brake while rolling in to the throttle. I always ride with one finger on the brake anyways. I wish someone would make a short plastic brake handle. My index finger gets frozen pretty bad.The 155 turns a lot better but this technique works on them too. Polaris has done a great job on the brakes for the Pro.

I am loving this sled! 82 miles so far just started to really see what it can do.
It is definitely very nimble, and throttle response is spot on. Sled has great power and seems that when it starts to slow down or get stuck a handful of throttle gets you back on top of the snow and moving again!! Coming off of an 03 vertical escape...all I can say is wow.
YOU COULDN'T WIPE THIS SMILE OFF MY FACE WITH A SHOVEL!!!

Got to point mine up hill today on deep set up snow with a couple feet of fresh.

Ohhhhh boy it just keeps churning along. Slow down and all I have to do is carve a little angle and back on top we are...and keep on climbing.
8250 all day long when pinned.

Matte, tried your brake trick on the trail...it works well. My sled is sloppy loose and the trail manners are a bit to be desired. I am usually lifting a ski and nearly rolling over at the end of the day back to the truck. The brake helps a ton...Thanks.

Loving mine, 50 miles on the clock. Need more snow to really see how it goes. Coming off a 2000 Mountain Max ,it is something to get use too.:bounce:

Softening the front rail shock can help that a bit. A full turn should show you a noticeable difference.
