2013 pro 600 gauges went black and wont rev up

rode this past weekend in Idaho, ran perfect 1st 2 days, mid way through 3rd day gauges went black and wont rev up....starts, idles fine, headlight on but no gauges and wont rev......ended up leaving it in a hole cuz we lost daylight.....came back the next morning to pull it home, decided to try it....started right up gauges came on and drove it out 20 miles with no troubles.....any ideas?

My first thought is short circuit of the DC power!

It would put out the gauge and possibly screw with the resistance in the throttle switch, rendering a "throttle stuck" fault code and prevent revving up..

The headlight is run by the AC power circuit.
