A little over 300 miles of hard riding, shaft still looks perfect. Early season I hit a few stumps and rocks grabbing almost absolute traction and getting launched. I also came up on a smooth but deep creek ditch at high speed, landed on the far face full throttle... big hit. I think mine is proof that some got glued well or had good karma, and have at least reasonable strength. I did however finally buy a clamp yesterday, to be installed tomorrow morning!

I need to change my vote. 20 miles and broke drive shaft. Didn't have collar none of the dealers have got them yet in central washington and I wasn't going to keep it in the shop anymore. The sled was ripping till then though. If polaris gets this resolved its going to be a fun season

I mis-stated my mileage the other day, I actually had 575 miles on my odo yesterday when I installed my driveshaft clamp, shaft was still perfect.

i had 8.8 miles on in from runin round the yard and the ditch out front before the clamp, nuthin to hard. my dealer all ready has a totaled 13 pro in for insurance. the dealer knows the guy whos it is and called him and asked if we could steel his shaft and collar, im leavin 12-27, in about an hour:face-icon-small-hap, for togwotee. the guy said no prob since he wont be needing it for a while and me and my dealer mech switched it out yesterday, and then when i get back they are getting me a new shaft and collar

you have a great dealer..

there is a very slight chance then that since you had 8 miles on sled that the driveshaft was on the verge of issues before the clamp..

I ride with a couple new '13s, no shaft problems and the way the one is jumped it should of broke the shaft seeing that he already stripped the cogs off of the drive belt.
