2013 Cummins Colors help

Longhorns have only a chrome grille and mirrors...but a gawd awful gold two tone. They also make a Laramie limited the black is the only one that i have seen that has painted bumpers. But also has chrome grille and mirrors....

Yea thas the one i think ive seen with painted bumpers was the limited.. Looks like if i decide to buy i will have to have some painting done..

I have a 12 limited and the only chrome is the running boards door handles and mirrors. The limited also has no badges except for the 4x4, limited and ram head on tailgate, it has a different gauge cluster trim and apparently higher quality leather than the longhorn. I was torn on the longhorn and limited but I absolutely love the subtle changes that only the limited has. If they still make the outdoorsman it had matched bumpers, but I'm not sure what options it came with

Not sure if they are doing anything different on the '13s, but my '12 limited doesn't have much chrome on it ... just the grille insert, the steps and the door handles. Just enough to offer a nice touch without looking gawdy.

Which, now that I think about it, a black grille insert would look pretty slick

Here ya go.

A couple from Cooke city this past Saturday. The wheels are fuel hostage 20x9s with A +20 offset and 305/55/20 nitto trail grapplers. In the near future I plan on doing all deletes, definitely a black grille with black shell, and taking the headlights apart and painting all non essential chrome inside the lights black. The more distant future calls for a carli pintop 2.5 suspension.

Definalty would look better with black wheels .... Might do that in the future :)

wow, i have never seen a limited. those are pretty sharp! are they steel bumpers or plastic "bumper covers"?

if you can live with the chrome bumpers, or get full replacement off road bumpers, you could do a little custom painting. i did all this myself with rattle can paint i ordered to match my paint code. i did the grill, door handles, tailgate handle and tailgate emblem. if you totally remove the tailgate emblem there are holes in the sheet metal.......so that wasnt an option. i also removed the black vinyl between the front and rear side windows. there is nice paint underneath! you can get the paint to match your paint code from here http://www.automotivetouchup.com/?u...=ydghTTpFNYrQ8GpiWdDqTw&bvm=bv.47008514,d.eWU

i also lightly tinted my tail and 3rd brake lights with the VHT nightshades that comes in a rattle can.

I believe the bumprs are just painted. I've had the pickup since January and so far the bumpers have held up great

Wish I my dealer could have been able to tell me all the differences between the limited and the longhorn. I really love the interior of the longhorn, but I've spent plenty of money to get it looking like the limited comes right from the factory. Oh well, live and learn. I also wish I had waited to buy a 13, DEF or not, the 13 is gonna be one hell of a pickup. Saw a few today at a local dealer and they certainly are sharp. If I knew a year ago what I learned 6 months ago when I ordered my Longhorn, I certainly would've waited for the 13 and the latest and greatest features. Didn't mean to highjack the thread, just adding my experience/input to other Ram enthusiasts. I definately like the looks of the limited over the longhorn. Found some advice to help customize my ride a little in this thread too!
