Hi, I on my 2013 F 800 I replaced the Jack shaft with the 2015 update kit and both bearings.
The chain case ended up having a leak so I had the sled at the dealer for a different issue and they replaced the inner and outer chain case.
I am now wondering and yes I will call them when they are open if they replaced with the updated 2013 case or the 2015 and up case, the reason I ask is I believe the cases come with the bearings installed already so if it is the 2013 update case it comes with wrong bearing installed and it also comes with the spacer behind the bearing which the 2015 shaft doesn't use.
I am assuming with this spacer in there that the 2015 shaft would not fit but I am not sure. But what if the bearing is wrong? Would it be okay to run?
According to Country cat's website the 2 bearings are the same size but I believe one may be a wobble bearing (2013 )and straight for 2015.
I thought about tearing it apart for the piece of mind but I really don't want to as everything is new at this point.
I try and do most of my work myself to avoid these second thoughts and I don't want to get stranded either. Thanks
