Footprint is the same size as the original Backcountry Bag with more of a taper at the back and larger wings that will hold more. Plastic tray insert sits on the bottom of the bag to keep items dry.

You can probably cram it in but the mounting straps are in different locations since the seat post is closer to the gas tank.

How water resistant is the bottom of the bag. The bag is going to sit in water a lot from the tunnel getting warm.

There is a molded plastic tray that sits in the bottom of the bag.

Yes, it's 99% waterproof you just can't submerge it. I've never had an issue with content getting wet other then if condensation builds up. Water will not penetrate the bag from the top. We put the tray in because of the slush build up on the Pro's.
