2013 600 Pro-RMK can (silencer) , What do you like and why?

Im not sure about HP gains or not, from what i have herd cans dont really do anything other than cut weight and change sound! I Have a 13 800 and i put a GGB mountain muffler on it! weight wise there is a huge difference than stock! I love a sled that is pretty loud and this can hits the spot perfect!!!

I'm a big fan of the sound and quality of SPG Ultra-Q (quiet) and Super-Q (bit louder) than stock.

The HPS cans are also very high quality and Scott has worked very hard to get the sound levels down.

Both offer a weight reduction.

I have a hps can off a 13 600 I would sell for $200 plus shipping. Not sure if its an hps or super q. No markings.

Will an aftermarket can do any damage to anything?

Planning on Bikeman's Mtn Light can myself, have a few buddies with them and they sound great!

my 12 has the slp can I don't know about any power difference, as I never rode it with the stock muffler. but I can tell you, I had an 08 dragon 800 that I purchased a hps can for. I switched back and forth several times, from stock to hps, and there was a very noticeable power gain in the low and midrange. I also have the 2014 pro 600, if I get a can for it, i'm definitely going hps! :face-icon-small-win

I have ran a HPS on a 13 and 14 800 Pro. No negative affects and keeps heat away from belts. Sounds good and not too loud.

Only if it is not designed well.

A good can will have been flow bench matched to echo stock back pressure levels. You can cause runablilty issues if not.

For any can that "makes more power"... well, how does it do that??... If it leans out the engine to do that, is it safe??... Back pressure on a 2 stroke and back pressure on four stroke or your diesel truck are two ENTIRELY different things... "Opening up the exhaust" on a two stroke with a tuned-pipe could cause major issues in longevity of the engine or the reliability in general. Stick with a quality manufacturer that has done their homework on this stuff.

I have ran the hps can on my 2012 and 2013 600 pro rmk it works good. You have to trim the heat shield on 600 for this can to fit its a minor job. This year I'm going to use the diamond s titanium can on my 2013 pro.

After putting 2500 miles on my hps can it was starting to rust and was definitely louder than when I first purchased the can.

By going with a titanium can there's no packing to blow out and it won't rust like hps has, also it's 2 lbs lighter than the hps was.

Has anyone use a MBRP can on a 13 600??? Thoughts please?

Just bought and hps can at the start of this season, had it out just this past weekend, love the sound, good rumble at low rpm and nice tone when you grab a handful. Little better throttle response can't say there is any noticable gain in power though. Would definitely buy again

I installed the GGB can on my 13 600 and loved the thing. I removed it when I sold the sled and will be installing it on my 800.

Here is a thread from the cat forum that might interest people here. Dynotech tested a bunch of cans on the m8000. I find it interesting that the mpx can, which is simply a perforated core inside a tube with conventional packing (ie glasspack), added more power than most tested. I know it's a different engine, but worth a look. Subscribe to dynotech for all the tech data you could ever want.

Makes me wonder if most of the factory engineering is for performance or simply reliable sound output that won't degrade over time to satisfy noise requirements.
