2012 silber Ring size

Anybody know what the size of the O-rings on the 2012 Silber air box/ billet boots are. I want to order some just in case the shop here in town doesn't have them.

The ones in the kit where silicone anyone used anything else ?

Mine came with the orange silicone ones which are good for about two on and offs, I bought some Buena black ones that didn't seem to make as good of a seal, then tried viton which were too rigid to force on. I since bought a whole bag of silicone rings from McMaster and just change them every time the box comes off.

Also for a better seal on the throttle bodies, note the groove on the tb the ring sits in. If you look close you can see casting flaws making an uneven surface. Take a jewelers round file and smooth them out

I couldn't get anything but Viton in town they will be more of a fight to install for sure as they are 75 durometer where the silicone are 60. I machined a chamfer on the leading edges of my throttle bodies when I first installed the turbo kit so im hoping this will help. I will lube them with a bit of two stroke oil to help them slip over. the good thing is the Viton should be more durable.

Thanks for he input fellas

It's very spooky that you are asking about O rings at this time. I just bought and installed your excellent steering Pro blocks and I have been researching o rings, measuring and thinking for the last 3 hours.
I think we are connected in a weird O ring kinda way!

The key is smoothing out the edges of the TB and oring groove. I was ripping orings all the time upon install or removal until I smoothed it all out. I always lube up with syn grease.

I used a fine grit stone bit in a pneumatic hand grinder to "chamfer" the front edge. I have a small fine grit ball stone bit that fit perfectly in the oring grooves on the TB's. This smoothed out the rough casting spots. Then I simply used a brown scotchbrite pad and spent 15 min rubbing down the leading edge and oring groove one the TB.
It worked really well!
