2012 running problems...

I had a few bogging problems on Saturday while riding in deep powder. Starting from the dead stop I would give it wide-open throttle and it would only go maybe half of my RPMs for a few seconds before ramping all the way up to 8100. Have first I thought it might be a powder bog but it did it several times throughout the day. I took this led to my dealer and it pulled two codes. The first code said "fuel pump driver circuit open" and the 2nd is "sensor supply voltage 2 low". The mechanic thought it might be a bad voltage regulator and he also said check the resistance on the Stator. Just curious if any of you guys have had any experience with either of these two codes and might know where to start?? Thanks

No experience with those codes......

But, I have experienced what you are describing. For me it was sticking exhaust valves. Punch the throttle.... Slight hesitation (as the valve sticks shut).... Then full power ( as the vacuum overcomes the stickiness)

Cleaned the powervalves, good as new.

Not sure if this is your problem but always good to start with the simple things first. Don't forget to make sure the little passageway to the cylinder is clear and not carboned up.

Ive had the fuel pump driver code before on my 2011. It didnt create any running issues but I seached for any ground issues or bust wires to fix the issue. Found that the driver in the ecu was burnt. Try hook 12volts to the ecu powerup plug and see if your fuel pump buzzes just for a second or if it stays on the whole time with power on the ecu power plug. Its only supposed to buzz for a second then shut off. I replaced ecu and its fixed. For the other code im guessing it prob has something to do with the tps. Goodluck

my 12 acted up about 6-8 times today. It was right around 32-34* when it was acting up, fuel around 1/2 tank. I think every time it did it was after sitting for 3-10 minutes with the sled off. The snow was deep and heavy, I would go close to wide open and 10-15 ft later it would cut out for 1-2 seconds and then come back to life. When it did act up it normally just did it once but sometimes twice. Then it would be normal until I stopped again to help someone.

It didn't feel like a throttle safety issue, it hasn't that bad. This is the first time it has done this. It has right at 800 miles on it.

I haven't cleaned the valves yet but that's the first thing I'm going to check. Eric

Try the resistor I made ya?

Not yet, but I will if it keeps doing it. Tonight I cleaned the valves, they were not too bad and they slide right out so I don't think they were sticking. I also put new plugs in it. Took a peek at the pistons when the valves were out. skirts looked good and didn't notice any flaking on the rings. Also checked the compression while I was at it and had 110psi on both cylinders (checked at 5,000ft). That comp seems normal from what I have seen posted on here or is that starting to get low? Eric

Mine had around 120-125 at 900' right after broke in. These things have way low comp stock! Anything over 100 (depending on gauge) will prob be normal. Big thing is that theyre equal, or within 10% of each cylinder. You know this tho...

But, 1000 miles, piston time in reality!

I just found a short in the worse going to the speedo. Dealer says that was the cause of the voltage 2 low code. Hopefully the two were related and the problems fixed. We'll see this weekend I guess
