I am looking to upgrade the front shocks from the RMK to a better shock, I was told the Ride FX 9200 is better than the Walker Evans Pro X Shock. I can get new Ride FX or Have a friend that has 2011 take offs.
About 1100 miles on the Walkers but don't know what there are worth someone told me that they wear on the inside.
Any opinions or input would be greatly appreciated

You'll get a ton of comments on shocks. It really comes down to preference and how much cash you have. IMO...I would not remove the stock WE's on the Pro for Ryde shocks. Maybe I would have done that on the old WE's on the Dragons, but the new coil over WE's are not bad, just not good enough. I went with Exit X1's and others have gone the Fox route.

Yep if I had the WEs I would probably not be lookin to upgrade to upgrade already.
But the stock RMK is a different story. Just lookin to upgrade to s better shock without wasting cash on a shock that's not much better.

I upgraded all my Ryde FX shocks to the Walker Evans from the pro. One thing to be aware of is the bottom mounts for the ski shocks. The swivel bearing on the Ryde shock is fixed on place and is not removable, cost me an extra $200 for the mounts on the Waller Evans!!! The Pro does have a smoother ride than the standard RMK though.

The Ride FX shocks I am looking at are the 9200 series that are the rebuildable. The ones on the RMK aren't. I have a friend that put them on his 1012 RMK & really likes them.

I would like to go to the ZBros but dont want to spend that much.

I have a ? does it matter what way you mount a Ride FX 9200 series shock, or any shock.
I thought you mount the spring down & the body up to reduce the unsprung weight. But I was told to mount the other way. What gives

I talked to Ian from Monster Performance & he confirmed what I thought mount the rod down & the Body up. The Ride FX 9200 series gas shock is going to be a way better shock than the stock RMK shock. Couple a guys I know like it better than the WEs.

Get what ever your going to have the best local support for revalve/rebuild.

Yep That is what I did I got the 9200 series RydeFX From WPS and they fit perfect, several guys are running the and love them. There is a couple of local guys that can revalve if I need them done.

I anyone else wants the part# it is 9249 the part# is for a 05 800 Polaris.
