2012 RMK 800 won't start

After a ride last weekend, I went to unload my sled from my buddies trailer to mine. The sled fired and then shut down right away. Pulled and pulled to no avail. Drug it up into my trailer and drove home. The next morning I went out to deal with it and it fired on the first pull, cold. Shut it off, restarted just fine. Let it warm up, pulled it into the garage and it sat for a week. I decided to go for a little ride, so I went out and it started right up. I went inside to get my crap on while it warmed up. When I came back out (less than 10 minutes) the sled had died and wouldn't start, just like before.

It's getting great spark on both cylinders, but it will not fire when adding fuel directly to the cylinder??? This part alone has me stumped. What would explain fuel and spark with no fire?

Pulled everything apart last night, check all connections. Getting fuel to the rail. Reeds are okay, 2 slightly chipped petals. Seems like good compression will check with gauge today.

This is a high mile former rental sled, but is in excellent shape. Oil pump was adjusted by them, pretty sure new top end, great compression when I bought it in the fall. The only other issue I've had is a slight bog at lower rpm, only after a restart. Planning on checking TPS for that issue, just hasn't been a big enough annoyance yet.

A buddy suggested that if the timing were off, spark and fuel won't necessarily mean it would fire. Not exactly sure how to check the timing with it not running.

Looking at the parts fische I see a magnetic switch, where is this and what is it for?

I have a trip planned next weekend, I will take it to the dealer if necessary. Still baffled by spark and fuel and it won't fire, even for a second. Sorry for the long-winded post. Thanks in advance for your help.

Id start testing the stator. Cold, and see if it dies again while warming it up, then check it then right away

How are you checking spark? It may spark awesome with plugs out of the cylinder, but not spark under compression... Use inline spark testers.

TPS is a real bugger on these. It is what the entire fuel management runs from. My dealer adjusted mine several times and also put new plug caps on. Not saying that is your issue but I would try to eliminate it right away. All connections should have filled with the electro goop (drawing a blank on the name of the stuff right now).

Just to update everyone, sled is running. The TSS was the culprit, bypassed it for now (yes, I wear a tether). Can the switch be replaced or do you have to buy the whole block?

yes you can put a new switch on it. just replace with a switch of a 13 pro. but you need to order the update kit. if you just order a switch for a 13 pro you wont get all the mounting hardware that you need to mount it to the bars.

I'm pretty sure my TPS is toast. I spent 6 hours adjusting my tps to spec, the next day I got a 51 10 error (TPS too erratic) and then a 51 4 error (TPS lower than .7)
