I'm in garage with dead pro 800 and foot of new snow. Argh. 1500 miles ran great till 2 days ago. Engine light came on at start up but ran good and light went out. Was cutting out when coming to stop. Changed plugs. Ran good for 30 miles but started cutting out again and was down to one cylinder. Changed plugs again but no luck. Limped home on one cylinder that used double the fuel. Both plugs firing but only mag side running - and rich. Checked a lot of good threads - tps, regulator, stator, reed, injector, cpu. Thinking reed but not sure why check engine would come on with that. Also thinking pto injector since it isn't running even though spark. Regardless, as I look I'm wondering how in hell I get to intake side. Looks like I have to disassemble pyramid, steering, clutch guard, can and then some to get air box out. Is this the approach? Appreciate any suggestions. Happy New Year, have a drink on me. I'll be busy. Thanks.

Did you pull plugs and compare them. Pull and check exhaust valves, bellows and springs. Check out as much as possible without too much work. I would give up a days riding and take it to a dealer and have it scanned for the engine code before I tore it all apart for nothing.

EVs looked good. Everything was clean but mag bellow was full of fuel. Haven't restarted it yet but exhaust side looked good but oily. Lots of fuel in belly pan though. Putting back together just to check that wasn't it. Thx.

I bet you shucked a reed. My buddies '12 did the exact same thing. Low idle and missing a little at low RPM for awhile. (Reed cracked) Then one dead hole. (Reed petal broke off)

How fresh is the fuel filter? I know it won't discriminate one cylinder or the other, but it may need changed anyway?

Easiest way to access the intake side is to remove seat and fuel tank. Be careful as it's a pressurized system and you will need to bleed the pressure. Once tank is removed, its a breeze to get to your reeds/injectors etc...

Is it possible to easily swap injectors position? That could rule out an injector if the problem doesn't follow.
