just wanting some opionions. have been loyal to the M-series for years but this year bought my first polaris since my 2000 RMK 700 back in the day. I have always needed to put full, expensive vent kits(shout out to "Mo-Flow Vents") on all of my arctic cats, but I have been told by multiple people that unless I turbo my PRO, do not vent it.. is this accurate?

Vents

I am all for venting the pro. You will not hurt anything without it on a stock Pro but obviously it helps. The way I found out is was better was running against two non vented pros especially on the trail. Mine is vented with mod rod vents and they have stood up well. We were riding a trail up the mountain in southern BC and it was a warmer day 0 C and the trail was setup allot. All were running scratchers down I never went over 170 F on temp gauge, one of the bozos not paying attention actually had his sled shut down on overheat at 230 F.

So I'm all for them, and mine has a turbo now too so I needed them anyway.:face-icon-small-ton

Anything that lets heat out of the engine compartment is a good thing.

Especially on the clutch side...cooler clutches and belts = more performance and longer life.

I put on XXXModRod Knee, Hood & Nose vents as well as Gill vents and love them.
After riding hard for a few hours, when you stop to take a break, you can see & feel the heat escaping up thru the hood vents.
I also think the Gill vents help create a "draw" to help pull hot air out from the clutch and can areas.

Made my own vent kit for my sled, I didnt figure it could hurt anything to get air out from under the hood, keep my clutches run cooler, and hopefully gain some life out of that $180 belt. I ended up with 20 vents which is overkill but I had the time and material so I went after it.

Could not agree more. I went with "Mo Flow" vents and have no regrets at all.

Overkill is right, looks like you have enough bogie wheels on that skid. Looks like a tank track.
