2012 Pro Questions and Info

Put 150 miles on my new pro so far this week. I have a few things to share about being under the hood inspecting in the garage.

1. The intake transition peice between the hood intake section and the airbox rubs pretty hard on the frame of the machine. Looks to me it would've rubbed all the way through by 500 miles or so.

2. The throttle cable had been rubbing on the coolant supply line and the engine head. It wore a small groove in the head of the engine already, and a slight groove in the hose.

3. Also with the throttle cable, it seems to have stretched considerably. Would this cause the machine to "feel" a bit sluggish at the lower end? Is it just the feeling of my thumb not getting the snap earlier on?

Any help or other things to check into at the 150 mile mark will be appreciated.

Take those 2 covers off the electrical connection areas...they will fill up with moisture and water....fill all un-used connections with electrical Dielectric grease.
My 2012 pro cut out on me on todays ride due to a pool of water in one of those covers.

Polaris has always been horrible at routing hoses and wires. I hate to say it, but 1st thing you do when you get a new Polaris home is to go through the engine compartment with a bunch of zip ties and secure wires and cables out of harms way to where they won't get rubbed through. Check your spark plug wires. Many are having them rub through on the power valves or headbolts. Shouldnt have to do this crap on a $12k toy. But you do if you don't want to end up walking out.
