im hoping to put a never used on snow (hope it wasnt for grass draggin :face-icon-small-sho)2012 front end, arms and spindles, onto my 08 nytro. the dealer ship is saying i will need to swap steering rods as well. got a heck of a deal on this front end and im hoping it will last long enough for me to save up the cash for the zbros or skinz kit. anyone know if these bushings will last longer than the 08? and will it change the stance of the machine? im hoping the dealership was just trying to get a few buck outta me.

well, the first thing i need is the bigger bushing rod i guess. and re-using the old upper arm wont work either. oh well, still waiting on shock tower parts.

hopefully you got the upper a-arm aluminum collars with the set of a-arms. they are definetly different between 2008 and 2012. if you have to buy these from yamaha they are $40 each.

ya, thats the "bushing rod" i meant. any idea if the bolt that goes in there is gunna be bigger? i think that might cause a little trouble tapping the frame for a bigger bolt. hoping the collar is just thicker.

bolt is the same. outside diameter of the collar is the only difference. if you have a metal lathe you could make these collars but if not you need to order them from yamaha.

We have the bigger bushings in stock that you will need for 2012 front end and wasnt trying to get buck out of you on the tie rods, just trying to help you out. The Spindle and tie rod length and design was changed from 08 to 2012, hence the reason for the change we informed you about. Bushing design is still the same so no real strength added there unless you want to upgrade to the new oillite bushing kit offered through yamaha, they will last a long time for ya! Hope this helps.

ya i did notice a little difference in the toe of the spindles. wondering if there is enough adjustment on the 08 tie rods (im sure not, and if there is, its gunna snap). so ill be ordering those rods up too. and i guess id better start saving for the front end soon, we all know those bushings are already thinking about giving out. thanks for the info.
