Could anyone tell me the clutch specs for this sled. I just bought it and it is clutched for 8-10. I am going to ride it at 6-8. Is it just weights or different springs too?

Thanks.

Polaris book clutching on the Pro has been proven to be really difficult to improve on. I believe (book) for 7,000' is the black secondary spring and the 140/330 primary spring with 10-60's. Some dealers will tell you their set-up is superior, but don't believe it until you see it. I know alot of sledheads that have spent a good chunk of change on aftermarket clutching, after hundreds of rides we haven't seen anyones pet set-up perform any better than stock (usually worse). Tune for 7,900 to 8,000 R's and ride.

2012 Pro clutching

Haven't had much luck with the black/purple driven spring polaris recommends above 8000 ft. The stock setup is 62 gram weights, 140/330 drive spring and the black 155/222 driven spring. It is a very good setup for 6000-8000 ft.

i kinda have the same type of question, i am clutched for low elevation (wa cascades) but am taking a trip to togwotee. i was told by 1 tech that i should switch to 10-60 weights and a blk/purple spring in the secondary. would this be correct? looking for a few more expert opinions:face-icon-small-coo

We had 58's in stock Pros.

I would believe that would be for close to 10k'. We ride at 8k' most of the time and all of our Pro's come with 140/330 and 10-60's in the primary. Can't tell you about the secondary. I run the TIED.

So a stock 2012 800 PRO RMK came with 10-58's from the factory? Clutched for what elevation out the crate?

He asked what weights for Togwotee and stated what we used there. 58's work for @ 10k and above

thanks skibreeze, i'm gonna put the 58s in before i leave with that purple/blk spring in secondary. but will also take some 60s with me just in case i wanna change them out.
