We at Patrick Custom Carbon are making a carbon fiber rear tunnels for the 2012-2013 Arctic Cats. It saves a couple pounds of weight BUT you will see a HUGE weight savings in snow/slush build up under the sled caused by the heat exchangers. Carbon fiber does not conduct cold so there is very little if any snow sticking to the tunnel. The Carbon fiber tunnel will allow you to stand on the rear of the tunnel so you can carry extra fuel or what ever you like resting on the tunnel. Easy to install just drill out approx 100 pop rivets and install the Patrick Custom Carbon tunnel in the exact place of the stock rear tunnel. Tools needed are pop rivet gun. We will send the 100 alum rivets and washers. Plus it just looks cool. Go to our web site and see me standing on the tunnels.

these things are awesome and i would love one soon! Do you guys have any videos of how you make your carbon process? Ive always been really intrigued to how you guys make you stuff!

We have a short utube video on our web site that shows some of the process. We use a carbon fiber pre-preg which is different than what many have seen before. Our resin is in the carbon fiber its self. We specify the type of resin for each application, whether we want it to be stiff, flexable, what heat and order it from there. It is kept in a freezer at Zero degrees until we need to cut it to size and lay it up. It has to be vacuum bagged and heated for it to activate, to at least 180 degrees. Long process but the strongest way to do it. It is how all F1, IndyCars, ALMS race cars are made.
