2012/13 vs 2014 Drivers - What's the Difference?

My trihub bearings went and the track ratched so bad it wore out one of the drivers on my 2012 PC. I've ordered a take off 2014 8 tooth driver and I notice the tooth profile is different than my 2012 drivers. Does anyone know why these changed and if there's any issues with me running these new profile teeth on my 2.25" power claw track?

Totally interchangeable, new design has more support at the track windows. Old design still partially relied on internal drive lugs for centering track. I have never had a problem with either one.

Thanks. I'm swapping my 2.25 for a 2.6" and replacing chain and gears to gear down when I replace the drivers. Is there anything else I should replace while in there?

Chain tensioner was upgraded later years, do that also.

I think i like that old style better. would hold track more centered. I have to run my rear axle off center in order to help center the front where it comes off the drivers. Annoying! Not sure if its the chassis or the track that was manufactured a bit off.

I have this problem as well. With old and new driver. I need to have tension on the exhaust side tighter. To get track alignment correct.

Its driving me nuts! I have rear axle off center as much as possible and my anti-stab wheels will still barely contact the tack nubs on one side. I guess the newer style drivers do have a "wheel" circumfrence against the outer track nubs to keep it centered but the tolerance is too loose, might have to press mag side on a bit further in my case. Never had it apart before, Sled was like this from day 1 but not as noticeable until the Elevate kit. I blame arctic cat tho.

The ice age rails on my Kmod had different profiles at the front. Like 1/4" different in the bend. Had same problem with track trying to run to one side. I changed out from 162 to 153 this year and the new rails match each other. Hopefully that makes the track run more true.
