2011 Running Issue

Having some trouble with my '11 800 Pro RMK

3300 Miles
Compression is 110 psi and 120 psi
Elevation ~ 800ft

My problem started with a bog last week. WOT then it would bog where I would need to let off the throttle then get back on it. Brought it to the dealer where they replaced the TPS. No difference on the bog.

Then the problem turned into a constant stutter where the sled would not rev passed 7200 rpm. It would vary between 6800-7200. Went through the sled and found a exhaust bellow cap/nut stripped. Replaced the cap and put two new bellows in. The sled will now rev out to 7600 and hold it there. It will not rev out on the track stand either. (Two weeks ago I was pulling 8100 RPM)

I have been trying different things, but I am at a loss now.

So far, I have tried:
New TPS
Brand New Clutches
Brand New Belt
New Reeds
Switched Coils/Plug wires

It is going back into the dealer on Monday. I am thinking to have them try -
Injectors
ECU
Crank Position Sensor

Does anyone have any other input?

Thanks

When a sled holds low rpm like that (and it's not clutching), it is almost ALWAYS related to the exhaust valves. Have the dealer check for plugged cylinder air passage, sticking guillotines, bad solenoid.

Have FUN!

What was the fix?

I ride a 2011 800 pro 163, and am having the same issues. We ride @ 9500'-10500'. Just wondering if you found the problem. I'm scratching my head!!!!!

Had same type of issue last weekend, sled has 2300 miles. Wide open and bogg, changed plugs and good to go, noted high deposits of carbon on one side of the plugs.
Turned up oilier 3 turns @ 1700 miles ( now uses little over 1 quart of oil per tank of gas )
Been adding 2.5 oz oil per tanks of gas for 2 years, been a solid sled with few issues.

I can not post a definite answer right now, but I think TRS is pointing us in the right direction.

The sled was at the dealer, and luckily the recoil snapped there. They took the recoil housing off and noticed the seal was bad. I will post an update when I get the sled back.
