2011 RMK suspension options

Several front and rear suspension options for the new 011' Pro will be available from Carls Cycles this winter.

The stock Walker Evans coil shocks that come on the PRO can be revalved for better ride, control and handling. We worked on this setup alot this spring and very happy with the results. Cost is $428 if you send in all 4 shocks, which includes new high flow pistons and custom valving for your weight and riding style. Awesome upgrade for the money. Turn around time is typically about 1 week or less.

We will also have a Fox rear suspension option available too for guys looking for the highest level of performance and adjustability. Front track shock is a Fox zero pro coil-over shock w/ high flow piston, aluminum body and new spring. Rear Shock is a EVOL R, which offers dual air chambers and rebound adjust. Perfect setup for aggressive mountain riders. 2lb weight savings over stock. Cost is $855. To see this setup in person, visit the BETTER BOARDS booth at any of the upcoming fall snow shows.

Fox Float 2($695) and Evol R ski shocks($995) will also be available. The new 011' does have a longer ski shock than the previous Dragon models.

For any questions please call, 208-853-5550

011' Clutch kit

Yes, we got our clutching all figured out last spring. $227 for the kit which includes helix, weights and delrins. Using stock springs with this setup. Very satisfied with the bottom-end and mid range gains. These are in stock and ready to ship.

We also are offering a new primary clutch mod for the PRO's or older dragons. Re-machining the clutch sheaves which is giving us better power transferred through the clutches, less belt slipping and lower belt/clutch temperatures (testing showed on average 20 degrees lower). This mod, including balancing is $139 on clutches with 0 miles, if sending in a clutch with miles on it add $69 for a clutch service. Your drive clutch does need sent in to us and turn around time is typically 1 week or less.

Chris,

The new skid you did for Rob heeb shows the EVOL ....Non R? (the rebound knob looks blocked off ??)

Will the new kit have the EVOL-R or the EVOL-standard?

How can you guys be sure of the clutching if the fueling wasn't done for the EPA... And with STOCK springs???? You must have a HUGE inside game w/polaris.... I know your clutching is good but imo it is way to early in the game for a clutch kit until production sleds are on the snow.... Just a thought....

Eric What you see in the Carl's photo is last year's shock housing with the prototype guts used for development of the PRO setup with FOX EVOL shocks. The picture of our Performance Partner Sled's PRO suspension has the actual 2010 FOX EVOL R production shock installed. It was built and sent out in one day and is the only one like it until the rest actually get to Carl's (maybe today). If you want this exclusive package designed with input from Struthers you have to get it through Carl's Performance.

If you go to the fox website you can see the EVOL X is all black with white logo. That is what the R looks like for this season as shown. Once I get to Denver and have the sled out were we can get decent photos we will have some better stuff for you to look at.

That is why it looks different as nobody even had time to photo or update the website yet as we were all in an extreme rush for the product. It is an EVOL R but the control is a set turn adjuster (low profile silver instead of the red anodized hand nob). The hand twist adjuster gets hammered in that spot. My EVOL X equiped Holz Alpha - X has the same adjuster on the top of the shock. You twist the clicker with a tool.

The rear kit does include the rebound clicker on the rear EVOL, just a new style clicker knob needed to be used because of tight clearances. This setup is a 2 lb weight savings over the stock walkers too.

The rear Evol R is also available by itself for $625.
