2011 Pro won't pull rpm. Electrical sensor?

Yesterday I got on the snow for the first time this season, not great snow conditions but good to get out.

At WOT on the trail it feels like the timing is being retarded similar to when you overheat or reach 220 degrees.
It tops out at 6900 rpm holding the throttle wide open but I can get up to 7500 rpm riding at part throttle.
If you hold it wide open for an extended period the check engine light flashes, a DE7 code appears and RPM drops to a max of 6000 rpm.

This isn't a intermittent problem, it happens every time you go WOT.
Any input on this would be appreciated.

62g weights are for 6-8,000 ft. You should have 66's if your under 4000ft. Guessing it's hitting the rev limiter hard. Eric

Exactly what he said. Put the proper weights in and the DET should go away and stop cutting out.

Thanks for the replys.
The snow here in Western Wa is wet and heavy, pulling 66g below 4000 is asking a lot but that's just my experience.
I agree that 62 is to light but this was just a road ride, not enough snow to get off trail much in the area we were riding.
I usually run 64g weights w/o problems at this elevation.

I think you answered your own question there. Road-ride with little snow = very little load on the track. Would be pretty easy to hit the Rev limiter with those weights at that elevation. That also explains why you can easy into the throttle and not have an issue.

I would say wait for the deeper heavy snow or but 64-66's in it. The DET message will come on and the check engine light when its hitting the rev limiter that hard. Eric
