2011 HCR going to a 2.6 powerclaw

I have a 2011 HCR right now with the 153 2.25 powerclaw and i am going to be putting a 162 2.6 powerclaw on it. I ride mainly in west yellowstone and was wondering what durameter to put on the 80 or 85. I have the 90 2.25 on right now and it works good until you hit deep powder. Just wondering what other people have found with the new 2.6 and how the different durameters have performed.

I ride with a guy who has a 13 162 hcr 1100t. That has stiffer duro track in the 2.6 and it hooks up like mad. I am gonna put a 153 2.6 on my 09 and I will be ordering the stiffer one. We have been out to wyoming twice so far in deep fresh both times.

I just put the 2.6 on my sled, dealer recommended the 80 duro if mainly riding powder. The hcr is, I believe, the only 13 that comes with the 85.

West Yellowstone scream 80 durometer to me. The only time a 85 would work better is in the spring when the snow is wet and heavy. If the 85 is working well in the powder, the 80 should be even better.

Ride in Whistler and on Coquihalla BC and my 153 80 duro 2.6 claw is a total beast. Made my sled a lot better and I can't wait to get into some super deep pow soon to again frustrate all my buddies who can't follow me through the trees cuz they get stuck!

Was hoping to try out the new track this weekend but weather forecast let me down.

if u ride the PNW- 85 Duro for sure

if you ride dry powder else where get the 80 duro, I just bought a 3" Camo extreme 9220M it is bad azz- would like to think it puts the 2.6" to shame

From what i have been reading it should fit right in with no modification. I have to get new rails to go from 153 to 162 but probably not till this summer to much stuff going on right now to do the swap.

tracks

the new 2.6 feels like an 85 duro compared to the 2.25 I think its just a bit harder to begin with, jmo

Are you guys running them backwards or forward? I just flipped mine around so its backwards and was night and day. This is on the 2.25" and I used to cuss it, now I kinda like it and thinking of going 2.6". It did screw me in the powder a lil though but mainly just uphill powder, seems to trench out faster but the trade off for foreward propulsion seems worth it to me....
