2011 Forum Ride donations

First off, sorry it took so long to get the info posted up:

Initially we raised an even $2000. But, somebody passed me a bad check. So, after calls to the bank where the check was drawn from, come to find out that account has been closed. The powers that be at that particular bank were notified and the ball is in their court now. Please don't ask who. I can tell you that the bad check writer is/was not a Forum regular, on either BCR or SW.

So, to avoid me bouncing a check I stopped payment and just wired the money to BRC. The $29 member fee is mine, from my account. The $1850 is what was counted and re-counted minus the bad check $150.

Kinda a little smudge on an otherwise great weekend, but I'm staying positive. I still think that is a pretty good amount raised, given the high amount of cancellations, no shows and such. THANK YOU ALL WHO ATTENDED! May next year be bigger and better. From what I understand, Mark at TML has offered his Lodge for the weekend at a discounted rate. I am already trying to secure more donors and repeat donors.

He won the ArcticFX wrap and some other guy won the BraapWrap. I was hoping for the BraapWrap.

Forum ride was a great time this year, as always. Thanks to PJ and XC for putting it together. SLO is a good venue and they did a great job hosting the ride. The raffle was excellent, as usual, but I think this year we had more prizes than ever before. PJ did a great job getting donations from a record number of vendors! Probably had more in donations than was raised though. It's to bad more people didn't donate/participate. You don't have to attend the ride to buy a few tickets and the proceeds go to keep our riding areas open.

Next year I think we should go local all the way. I spoke with a rep and he said that they can ALWAYS use any amount of money and For them to receive a donation of $2000 would be epic!

COHVCO would be good, but I think next year should go back to WFRA since that douche tard donated $125,000 to the Hidden Gems tards.

I don't know, maybe once it gets closer to ride time next year post a poll.

I am glad it all turned out ok, all things considered!!! I know WRFA is still concerned with these areas, we have actually slowed down a bit. Thanks to the now congress , however we still need to be actively saving our areas. Thank you for your thoughts! I won't even watch that show, urgh it just ticks me off!!! He is a "hero"? YEA RIGHT!!! TML would be awesome
