2011 Ford F150 EcoBoost

Any of you westerners in the mountains driven or towed with the new ecoboost. Just checking to see if anyone has some real reports. Buying a new f150 haven't decided on a motor yet v6 supercharged, 305 hp, or the 5.0 v8 350 hp.

think you are a little off on your hp numbers v6 eco boost is higher than that my boss baught the 5.0L version and really likes it but told him he shoulda got the ecoboost instead have heard lots of great things about it

Yep my mistake they both have 360ish hp. Think I may be going with the 5.0 they have more rebates on that engine.

I have gotten contradictory mileage reports on those motors. I have heard the ecoboost is as high as 22 mpg, but i have heard 17-18 mpg out of them too, same with the 5.0. Everyone that has booth motors say that they have more power than the old 5.4.

I did witness a ecoboost in a crew lariat race a raptor with a 6.2 in it, and the ecoboost won.

I don't have either but from what i have seen and read is they are both great motors. If i lived at elevation though i would have the ecoboost for sure. I bet it isn't even close at elevation. Just my .02
