Well all the talk ab out the poor quality of boss seats has finally caught me too. First ride with a new boss seat on the pro and the water bottle waterproof zipper is stuck closed. the zipper will move about 3/8" nice and easy but that is as far as it will move. Any tips on getting it to open all the way? What kind of a pain in the butt is this going to be to get repaired?

You could try some zipper wax (paraffin wax works also) to lube and keep moisture from collecting. You may need to get it open first and apply from the inside due to the zipper seal. With all of the garbage zipper issues the past few years, you would think Boss would have this worked out by now, especially on a $400 seat.
Even w/ it thawed out its still stuck??
Sled has been in the heated shop for 6 days now and it will not open.
is there a chance some of the material around the zipper got caught in it when zipping it up??? i know on the ac bags the material they use to help keep the zipper water tight sometimes will get caught in the zipper making it almost impossible to open/close...

Me too, got the seat this year, been out a couple times and struggle every time i need i nto that main compartment open. How dissapointing, this product is, ......again. You'd think I'd learn, but no, they said the zipper issue was corrected. Well beware, cause its not, not on mine anyway.
We have had a few seats with this issue. We took them to a local upholstery shop that installed larger zippers. With the larger zippers it appeared to solve this issue.(they aren't as waterproof, but functional)

I put an new boss on my sled sled last year. I loved the seat. Am tempted to put on on my pro as well. If I do, it will go to an upolstery shop and have ALL the zippers replaced before I ever use the damn thing this time. Boss, ARE YOU LISTENING????
That is strange. I would check to see if there is material (nylon) or something caught into the zipper. These are supposed to be the best zippers out there. YKK waterproof zipper are the same ones used on TA Gear backpacks, and many of the top brand jackets and bibs. I wonder if they are just undersized or if you got a flawed one?
