2011 Assault Snow-Check

Does anyone have on the ground pics of their new Assault in "orange madness"? I have been to 3 different shows and still haven't seen the new color. Hoping I made a good decision.

Pictures don't do them any justice. I think they look real sharp in person though!

The orange is awesome. I just got mine today! It looks even better in the sunlight! My dealer switched out the panels out for me so that I can have a Orange Pro:thumb:.

Guys the panels are simple factory paint jobs and frankly not that high of quality. We are running our silver panels through a paint and hydro dip process. You can do the same thing and get any color you want.

The company is in Nampa, Idaho and did some custom panels for Carl's Cycles that turned out nice. He has all kinds of trick designs or you can even get custom airbrushed. Mine are supposed to be done end of the week and I'll post the info on how much and exactly where to get it done. (although I'm boring and not doing anything wild)

He is also going to do some Better Boards in custom colors for a couple of guys. They did some other brands last year and it sounds like the people have been really happy. Carbon fiber look is sweet! It would go great with the new Assault Carbon Fiber look. I'll keep you posted...we are happy with super hard high performance powders but some of you guys might want something one off.

Here is his info, Kelly does good work. Give him a call or check out his website.

I thought the color was vinyl wrapped on the side panels? I just remember at the sneak peak that I could see the edge fraying a little. Maybe it is the paint that looks like vinyl.

By the way, the orange was the best looking IMO. It was that sneak peak that made me realize I don't want the black/silver and went to the black/red.

Very nice! Any of you Assault boys swapping shocks front and rear, pm me. I will buy the stockers!

Panels are Painted TPO (Thermo Plastic Olefin) panels... easy to paint or do graphics on.

The hood is nylon from what I'm told and does not hold paint well... but a dip or vinyl graphics will work well for it.

Any body shop can paint these for you or do it yourself if you have the skills.

Rattle can paint will not be durable compared to a basecoat/clearcoat process.

I really liked this orange when I saw it at the sneak peek. I was a little concerned about the edges of the panels looked like the paint was peeling off. I wanted the Pro Rmk not the assault so in the end I ended up getting the silver. Plus it matches my KTM 380:
