2011 Assault Motor Mount Suggestions

Hi Everyone! I'm planning on pulling my motor on my 2011 Rmk Assualt to have it gone through for peace of mind. I haven't had any issues with it but it has just around 1,000 miles on it. I figure since it will be out of the sled I might as well upgrade/update my motor mounts because I know they have changed from '11 to '13 (correct me if I'm wrong). What are your suggestions? Do you suggest using aftermarket or just newer model year motor mounts? Thanks in advance!!

do yourself a favor and order mounts from boost-it. newer mounts are better then the 11 mounts but still junk.

I read a post a while back that Boost-it was not going to be shipping outside of Canada anymore. Maybe we need to have my / your Canadian friends buy the stuff we need and then mail it to us? I'm building up 3 PRO's this year so maybe we should get a quantity buy started for those of us state side? Interest?

I have 3200 miles without a hiccup on my 11 Assault, and I run it hard. I was considering new pistons and rings this year, but will probably wait until warranty is up and overhaul it next summer. I would think 1000 miles is nothing.....

Knowing a little more about the situation, I think Mike is just trying to do some preventative maintenance and get some more power.

Driving 10-12hrs to ride and then have a engine go down can more than ruin a trip, not having parts available in time for the next trip can ruin a season.

Im sure he could ride another 1000 but, can't blam a guy from taking care of his ride

Being your pulling the motor. It might be beneficial to check alignment when you put it back in. As in before you really hook things up. You may need to add a shim somewhere.

TRS has a good post on here about that. Search it out, it is worth the trouble. Most are way off from the factory. Even though our belt life is ten times the cats it is still worth the afternoon to make it right.
