2011 Apex SE

I'm looking at used 2011 Apex SE with about 3,000 miles on it. It is a dealer sled and is listed for $9000. Is that a good price or should I try to negotiate a lower price? I have a trade-in (2005 Rage RS, 9200 miles) and hope to get $2500-$3000 on trade. JD

2011 Apex

Appreciate the feedback. Interesting, my research on kbb and nada indicates that 9k is low retail and so it appears to be a fair price. Is there a difference geographically as this is a Minnesota sled?

The mountain guys are used to putting $10-15K into a apex (turbo, lightweight everything, etc) and then having to sell only to get $5-7K out of it. Trail sleds in the midwest hold thier value much better then a mountain sled because they are still one of the best trail sleds and have a high demand but there are probably a lot other mountain sleds in demand over the apex so that price has fallen drastically in those markets. That is a good price in MN for a low mile used sled. Much different markets for sure!

2011 Apex

Ahh. That makes more sense as this is a trail sled. We are trail riders so we are not off the beaten path very often...and with a shorter track and 600 plus pounds I wouldn't want to. Anyways, I'm thinking that I'll offer maybe 5,ooo or 5,500 with trade and see if the dealer is willing to negotiate a lower price.?Jd

I bought a new 2011 nytro 162 0 miles for $9700. I would keep looking if i were you.

That has zero meaning to his question. Why would he want a lower hp, no power steering, mountain sled on a trail? New 11+ apexs are $14K+ new; new nytros are around $10K he didn't say he was interested in a nytro mtx. $9K on a 11+ apex is a great deal no matter how you cut it. $9K on a modded apex mtx pre '11 makes no sense for a midwest trail rider.

This is a more mountain specific forum so I can see where the confusion is. I would check out ty4stroke.com its mainly midwest/canada trail riders there.

What i was getting at is 9k for 0 miles is a good deal. apex with 3000 not so good. good luck!
