2011 800 RMK DET after Wössner + VF3R

Hi
I recently refreshed top end with Wössner and changed worned out std reeds . Now i get DET after engine is broken in. Today i "fixed" it with etanol plug but that is not a viable solution. Am i on the edge after this engine work? According to DTR you should be able to run a 2011 on VF 3 without hassle. How about Wössner, will they lower my bsfc as well?
 
maybe you have some poor fuel, are there any other mods to the engine? also you my want to recheck the torque on the knock sensor.

Also. Check squish.

Add wieght to the primary?
With a hard overev it will det.
Gauge wont show it in the midrange.
 
What's your ring end gap and piston to cylinder clearances Wossner pistons expand something awful I would pull the power valves and look at the cylinders to make sure the cylinder walls aren't ruined The ethanol fix is possibly because you are having to add fuel to keep the piston cool!
 
In my experience is the wossners add a little bit of compression compared to the stock piston. I talked to another guy that owns a sled repair shop, he experienced the same thing.
 
Piston to ring gap 0.55 mm. Std bore and dropin pistons so i have no idea of piston to cyl clearence.

try adding some clutch weight maybe its making a bit more HP with fresh rebuild and broke in

or tell us how and when it DETs so we can make educated guesses:face-icon-small-hap

Tuning issues related to the new reeds aside, some have had problems where the pipe rubs / vibrates against the bulkhead prematurely triggering the det. sensor.

Since you recently had the engine apart it would be a good idea to make sure there are no components rubbing.

Did you overtighten the sensor fastener? FWIW, it's only 14.25 ft lbs/168 in lbs, and needs to be very precise.
 
Never had knock sensor loose so no change there. Will check on loose components when at home. But there could be IF Wössner add compression adn VF3 flows a bit more that I need to add fuel?

You probably need to add fuel in the midrange. I believe the 2011/12's were a bit lean already there now with V-force and better pistons you are on the edge. If the Ethanol plug fixed it you have your answer. Probably don't need any at WOT.
