2011-2014 Fuel Injector Compatible?

Have someone with a 2014 800cfi Engine going to install into a 2011 Chassis.
He was told that the Injectors don't fit. I believe they changed from Deka(spelling) to Bosch. Are the 2011 Injectors smaller or why will they not fit the 2014 Engine?
What can be done to make his 2011 Injectors/ECU etc work on the 2014 Engine?
Is it just a matter of buying new 2014 Injectors matching the colour code of his 2011 ECU?

Pretty sure you just need to use the seals from the year of the cylinder with whatever year of injector your running. IIRC they machined the cylinder slightly different in '11 as far as the injector seats go. I believe '12 and newer are the same.

Someone with more knowledge than I, can speak up if I'm incorrect.

I got him to make a call to a reputable shop and he's replacing his injectors with 2012 ones!
