maybe they are trying to adress the issue of everything bending way too easily........ If they do that I may even buy one!!!........ but probably not........
mgdjeepster do you just copy and paste that same post all over the forums. That is 100th time i have read this from you! What do you ride that is so impressive? So maybe us loser skidoo guys could keep up one day!
sorry if I offened you....ughhh hmmmm yeah........ and don't get me wrong I have great respect for the ski doo's, however the ski doo's that I have rode with this year have bent and cracked so many chassis parts it just disgusts me.............. alot of you ski doo guys get way too offened way too quick, and I really don't care......... even tho the ski doo's that I have rode with that have broken something guess what.......... we still had a great day........ didn't know it was wrong to state my opinion on why they may be making changes........... and since you asked i ride a M1000.......... oh and wahhhh wahhh wahhh...........

I rode a cat before my xp but i don't go to the AC forum to compain that my buddy's m8 is weak!
well I come to the ski doo section to see what they offer new this year....... especially since they now show the 2010 sleds as of today......... found out that they are reinforcing their rear suspension rails, adding a 4th idler wheel, and new chromoly lower A arms

well i ride with doo guys..their sleds were much stronger the my m8...we are talking 07 here...but one thing the m8 has...it does mod well...and its very very strong modded...but yea...i have alot of respect for the doo;s...guys here ride them hard and the seem to stand up as well as any..
Aside from the HillClimb (pseudo competition) edition, it doesn't sound like extra beef was added in chassis reinforcement for the X models. Hence the question.
As far as durability - I've got an 08, and never blew a belt, tweeked a nun, or lost an A-Arm, and I have hit quite a few pinecones, even ollied it into the side of my trailer one day. LOL.
While Cats are nice rides, if I wanted to discuss 1980 style chassis & steering design, I'd go to another board.
