2010 seats on ebay!!!

You can buy them from just about any dealer for $299.99 or even less. Support your local dealer!

I love to support my local dealer, BUT when I can get it shipped to my door for $60 less than my local dealer will sell it to me for?

007: Don't know your local dealer, but as a dealer I would at least like the chance to earn business. I always tell guys to ask. Tell him you can get the seat shipped for that price and see if he will match it or come real close. If not, then neither one of you lose anything. If he can, you both benefit.:beer;

I would normally agree with you, but you don't know the kind of dealers we have around here. Everything is full list plus their shipping cost to get it to the dealer from Cat.

The dealer I use will match price no matter where I find something. The down side is paying tax on it but you have someone to stand behind what they sell you thats local.

If dealers would price everything fairly up front there would be no need to price match. I call one dealer to order all parts, both aftermarket and replacement parts. She always has the best prices and I don't have to call around an haggle with another dealer over price.

Ditto.

I like to support my local dealer, but its always FULL RETAIL. After a while a guy wishes they would start using lube.

Competition is the american way.

I live in Canada and my dealer wanted $448 Cdn (399.99 plus tax). I ordered my seat from our friend in Oregon and it came to less then $300 Cdn including exchange & taxes. So I received the exact same seat for $148 less and the service was the best I have ever had. Also received the seat a month before my local dealer. No haggling, just a plan honest deal. Most or all of my future purchases will be done this way. I would defiantly purchase from my local dealer and support locally if there prices where even close, but they are out to lunch and don’t care.

I am so tired of people whining about their local dealer not giving them deals on stuff. I have one question which I think I have asked before. If you dont support your local dealer and he closes up shop then what are you going to do? Ship your sled to an internet retailer to help you out? Use some common sense here. I dont know what it is about the snowmobile community that everyone thinks they are entitled to a discount on a $2.50 spark plug.

If our local dealer closed up shop..who would notice? They have no parts. charge above list price to order in parts, and have no idea about updates, recalls, or setting up a sled!

I don’t know about everyone else but I’m not going to donate my hard earned money to my local dealer just because they are local. I have put nearly $2000 in extras and accessory on my sled. I tried my local dealer first and couldn’t believe there pricing after I just bought a brand new sled from them. I explained what I could buy it for and tried to work with them. If I had bought all the parts from them the best they could do was about double $4000. So I have $2000 in my pocket and it wasn’t donated to them. Again I would love to buy locally but can’t justify the price difference. As stated some dealers are better then others and some guys are luck to have a reasonable dealer. I’m just not a luck one.

Yes we want a deal . we also usually come in with a part# and just want to pick up our part and go. not have a bunch of question and waist time. not to mention the people working there usually know nothing about what they sell and dont want to stock even the most common low cost parts. So ,,,,,,,,, Hire good people pay then some $ then it might be worth it to pay a little more to your local dealer because his service is worth it.

Racin'

you have no idea what it is like to deal with some flatlander dealers! You dealers out west spoil me and I can get parts faster from dealers out west than I can going to the dealer in person.

Like when I'm at there counter and need a set of weights for instance and they cant get it to me for a week, but I use my cell to call a dealer out west and they are shipped to my door in two days! HMMM what would you do sit out from riding or order from a dealer that can service you.

I do get simple things from them.

:)
