2010 rmk600 stalls electrical problem?

A female friend of mine has a rmk600 144 2010 with appr 1000miles.

The sleds starts and runs great but as soon as she hits the trail. Her speedometer will shut down (reads blank) sled continues running for a few minutes.

Sounds like bad voltage regulator which most likely means bad ECU now!!!
