2010 RMK 800 w/ low mile top end re-build!??

Hello, my 2010 rmk 800 155 that i bought new as a leftover last year, has just fried its top end!! Its the right cyl "if your sitting on the seat" mag side that has lost its compression.. The sled has only 700 miles on it... I have heard about this for the 08's and 09's but not on the 10's.
My question is what the success rate is for this model sled to have good luck and long life after a rebuild?

Better on the 2010's but still not really fixed. See if your dealer will let you "substitute" the MTNTK "fix kit" from PMSPolaris for the stock parts, and have them put those parts on instead (as well as whatever other stock parts it will take you to get up and running)... not sure how much warranty you have left, because that would probably void it on the top end anyway since they are not stock parts. But you would have a much longer lived motor for sure (see this thread on the fix kit, there are lots of others too even on other forums like mud and snow dot com): http://www.snowestonline.com/forum/showthread.php?t=245510

They should "allow" you the amount it would code for the top end parts against the MTNTK kit.

EDIT: And I am sorry to hear about the sled, bummer! Be glad you have warranty though.

i have a 2010 RMK 800 as well, blew the motor at 800miles. i drove it for 300miles and felt it lossing rpm's on top so i replaced it with "the fix" kit and sled never felt stronger
