2010 M8 SP and shift assist bearing??

Is the shift assist bearing needed for the 2010 M8 153? Is anyone using one and is it beneficial?

i have same sled....works awesome!!! way smoother backshift you will lose about 100 rpm on top end but is well worth it!!

When installed, I would leave out both plastic washers as it increasing the helix pressure and the need of spring pressure isn't needed as much.

OK, thanks. Are these the same as the BDX shift assist bearing or is this a different design? I noticed its a open race, is there a maintenance keep up with your bearings?
