2010 M8 Primary Spring

I'm sure this question has been answered before but I didn't find it in my quick search of the forum. Anyway, what is the stock primary spring supposed to be. My chart shows Orange/Black pn 0646-035. When I looked at the spring I'd say it's black, and I don't see a hint of orange. Isn't orange supposed to be the predominant color with black being the stripe?

Mine is an Orange/Black with orange being the main color. I've heard of other guys having a black primary spring.

Its been both some people have the black spring w/ orange stripe and some have the orange spring w/ black stripe. I have know clue why there are 2 different ones

Orange spring

I just put a 2010 primary on my 07 m8. This is not a new spring but the old orange black primay form the mountain cat days. same numbers as well, just a different color.

That's the same chart I found but it doesn't list a 0646-035 spring nor a orange/black, black/orange for color.

True...but the 0646-248 shows the same rates as the spring listed for the 2010 primary. My spring in my priamry clutch is definately orange...

EDIT...now I'm not sure...will have to look tonight

Just curious, where did you find the rating for your stock spring? I think you're right but I can't find a chart with that pn in it anywhere.

The black/orange is the same as the orange/white. The different in color is because it is a new vendore
